Product Description

The AudioCodes MP-118 is an analog VoIP gateway designed to connect traditional analog telephones, fax machines, and legacy PBX equipment to modern IP telephony and SIP networks. It is part of the AudioCodes MediaPack 1xx family and is designed for enterprises and service providers migrating from traditional telephony to VoIP.

The MP-118 is available with 8 analog ports, supporting FXS and/or FXO configurations depending on the specific hardware variant. AudioCodes documentation lists the MP-118 with 4/8 FXS or FXO loop-start ports and a 10/100Base-T RJ-45 Ethernet interface.

The gateway supports a wide range of voice codecs, including G.711, G.723.1, G.726, G.727, G.729A/B and G.722. It also incorporates G.168 echo cancellation, silence detection, comfort noise generation, and dynamic jitter buffering to help provide reliable voice communication.
