1. Trunk compatibility: Ensure the gateway supports your local telco’s E1 trunk parameters (2.048 Mbps, 120 Ω, framing, line code) and signalling type (PRI or other).

2. Call capacity vs. your need: Up to ~60 concurrent calls — verify that meets your peak load including voice + fax & ensure network has capacity.

3. Integration with your IP-PBX / SIP trunk: Check codec use (e.g., G.729), DTMF modes (RFC2833/SIP INFO/in-band) and network readiness (QoS, latency, jitter).

4. Physical & environment: Rack mount, power 100-240V AC, ventilation, network cabling.

5. Support & firmware: Verify local reseller in India, spare parts availability, and firmware upgrade path.

6. Future‐proofing: If you might expand to more spans or move fully IP in future, plan accordingly.
